Bowl-a-thon What is Bowl-A-Thon?

A Bowl-A-Thon is a program where you can raise much needed money for Haiti. Some of the organizations we will be sending to are “Chabad Haiti Relief Fund – A Jewish help organization based out of Chabad of the Dominican Republic, The Clinton Foundation, and the American Red Cross.

The amount you raise is based on how many points you score on the designated Bowl-A-Thon Day. Here’s how it works: You raise money by recruiting sponsors who pledge a certain amount of money for each of your points. For example, if a sponsor pledges $1.00 for each point and you score 20 points, the sponsor will make a $20.00 donation.  After the event, you collect the money and turn it over to one of the JLE Club Presidents, Rachel or Amy Gecelter.

Another Option:

Your sponsor can want to give a “one sum” donation,  for example give a $100 bowl-a-thon donation, instead of a dollar amount per point. In that case, you give the contribution to the JLE Presidents prior to the bowl – a- thon, by Friday.
