What's the point of a Bat Mitzvah anyway?

Are you caught up with the theme, the clothing, and the party favors but clueless about the meaning? Do you think a bat Mitzvah ends or begins with your party? Join the Bat Mitvah club and find out. Here girls learn about Judaism, meet other girls the same age, and have loads of fun. Get to know your Jewish self through art, creative writing, and community outreach.

The Bat Mitvah Club is "for girls, run by the girls, and starring girls," because the girls run the meetings, prepare programs, and arrange activities. Be a leader or a participant. Organize an event. Plan a project. Make a presentation. The Bat Mitzvah Club is a place to grow, learn, and get involved.

At Chabad we take a unique approach to Bar/Bat Mitzvah training, regardless of where the celebration and service will be taking place.

Our emphasis in preparing B’nai Mitzvah is to foster an awareness that is milestone is only the beginning of Jewish life.

We achieve this by providing each child the tools necessary to function as a Jew no matter what life brings.

We believe that the most important event in the life of a young person, should be more than just rote memorization leading up to an anxiety-ridden recital of the Torah.

Our emphasis is to foster an awareness that this milestone is only the beginning of Jewish life and help attain a greater appreciation of a Jewish adults responsibilities.

Regardless of where the celebration and service are being held, private tutoring, arranged to accomodate today's demanding liefstyle, is available upon request to help you prepare for this special day.
